REVIEW: Bourjois Happy Light Foundation | 2014

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone!! Happy new year!
I'm so excited because this is my first blog post for the new year.
So today I'm going to do a review for my current favorite foundation which is the Bourjois Happy Light Foudation.

The first thing that I love about this foundation is the bottle looks sleek and fun. I love the orange-pump. It caught my attention when I was at the counter. The pump is a bonus. I can have a good amount of foundation without over do. I always pour an excessive amount of foundation without pump applicator specifically my Revlon Colorstay foundation.

This foundation promises you to give hydration up to 8  hours. Bear in mind that this foundation has super sheer coverage. Its lighter than the BB creams. I found that it is the best to blend it using my Beauty Blender. I tried using my fingers but it appears almost nothing. When you blend it using your fingers, the color can look a bit darker that it looks in the bottle.

I have not tried to blend it using my Sigma F80 brush yet, but I impressed how it looks on my face when I applied it using the Beauty Blender. It does a pretty good job in covering my redness, my eye bags, as well as my acne scars like the pictures below.

I have an oily-combination skin. This foundation does a great job in moisturizing dry areas on my face but after several hours I can see some shiny especially in my nose, on my forehead and on my cheeks but this problem can be solved with a little touch up.

Shannon from ShaaanXo, a famous beauty guru on Youtube also did a review on this product. She has dry skin and she also mentioned that her face looks a bit shiny after several hours. This foundation keeps my face makeup including bronzer, blusher as well highlighter stayed in place just like the first time I applied it.

Overall: I do have love-hate relationship with this foundation. But I started to liking this foundation right now. If you have dry skin, or oily-combination skin I highly recommend this product to you. But, if you are a high coverage person, this is not for you.

Pigmentation: 3/5 stars
Staying power: Oily-combination (2- 5 hours your skin can start getting shiny) 2.5/5 stars
Price: USD 18
Avalability: Asos
Overall rating: 3.5/5 stars
The downside of this product is it does not have any SPF.
